Fire Causes $80,000 in Damage

A Thursday morning fire at a one-story wood frame home on Andrews Road that caused about $80,000 in damage apparently rekindled Friday morning and caused another fire in the home's detached garage.

According to an Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal press release, about 20 firefighters from the Lakes and Straits, Madison, Church Creek, Taylor's Island, Hooper's Island, Rescue, Linkwood and Neck District volunteer fire companies responded at 1:06 a.m. Friday to 2445 Andrews Road for a reported structure fire.
