It started around 6:30 Wednesday morning at a home with two apartments on Shaw Road. Crews arrived to find flames shooting out of the house. They say it started in the back of the building and spread quickly to up into the roof. Everyone made it out safely, and firefighters had it knocked down within 15 minutes thanks to some very hard work. Crews were able to save some of the structure, but the fire caused quite a bit of damage inside.
There are no reports of any injuries. The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause.
