Chesapeake
A two-story townhome in Chesapeake was damaged by fire this morning.
No injuries were reported in the first in the 600 block of Harbour North Drive. The fire was reported at 9:15 a.m.
Capt. Mike Thibeault of the fire department said the townhome sustained "heavy smoke damage and moderate fire damage confined to the utility room." Two adjacent units sustained moderate smoke damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Two adults and a child were displaced and will be staying with relatives, Thibeault said.
