The cafeteria at Highland High School is closed indefinitely as crews repair damage from a broken water pipe. District spokeswoman Dianne Bowers said there was about two feet of water throughout the cafeteria.
"Emergency crews were called in to deal with all of the initial cleanup. Engineers are currently assessing the damage. We won't know the full extent of the damage for a while," she wrote in an e-mail. Students are eating in the school's mini gym.
A frozen coil led to flooding in a building at Campo Verde High School. The hallway and about 13 rooms received some water damage. All but three rooms were being used when classes resumed Monday.
