Fire Damages Some Apartments

Fire crews responded to the complex just after 4:30 p.m., and were able to put it out after a half-hour. A few people were in the apartments at the time, but got out safely, Woodhead said.

Three of the units only had minor smoke damage, however the unit where the fire started was heavily damaged with fire and smoke. None of the residents were allowed back into their apartments.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
