Fire Causes $30,000 In Damage

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Fire damaged a home in the 6100 block of Ann Avenue early Friday morning.

The fire was reported just before 5 a.m. Everyone inside made it out safely.

Firefighters said heavy fire was showing from the back of the house when they arrived. Crews had the blaze under control in 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire department said relatives in the area are helping the people who lived in the home.
