Fund Helps Family Recover After Broken Pipe

Claudia lives with her four young children in a run-down home in North Charleston. She works part-time at a convenience store in the evenings while her mother watches the children.
Last Christmas, a water pipe in their home burst, flooding the entire first floor and destroying many of the family's belongings.
Thanks to a Good Cheer Fund agency, Claudia was able to have the broken pipe repaired and purchase new clothing for herself and the children.
Your generous donation to this year's fund can help another family like Claudia's when disaster strikes. Even families that have no problems throughout most of the year can be devastated by an emergency situation, especially during the holidays.
Contributions to The Post and Courier's Good Cheer Fund have helped make this season brighter for the less fortunate in the community since 1927. The six charitable organizations sharing the funds collected are Carolina Youth Development Center, the Lowcountry Food Bank, the Salvation Army, Star Gospel Mission, the Association for the Blind and Catholic Charities. There are no administrative costs involved and the agencies receive every cent of the money raised.
