Families Still Find Damage After Flood

Onslow County -- Professional cleaners at PuroClean in Havelock are still getting phone calls most days about mold problems in people's homes. Today they went through the home of Wesley Turner on Nine Mile Road in Onslow County and found mold in the master bedroom and under the house.

Turner says he had no idea water even went under his house during the storm. The plastic vapor barriers washed to the side and mold formed on the beams and sub-flooring in the home. The duct work under the house had holes and so the mold blew right into the bedroom through the vents.

Turner hopes to get help from FEMA to pay for the repairs to his home. He says that he, his wife, and even his dog have mild health problems because of the mold.
