WILLIAMSTON — A Wednesday morning fire caused
about $60,000 worth of damage to 110-year-old
house.
Williamston Fire Chief William Siegel said the blaze
started around 8 a.m. in the back rooms of the
house at 120 W. Church St.
It took crews from several area fire departments an
hour to extinguish the fire, Siegel said, but “we
contained it to the laundry room and the kitchen.”
No one was inside the house at the time of the fire.
